As I am preparing to leave for my three month journey to Europe, I decided to write a travel packing list! I am a very fashion conscious person in general so I wanted to bring things that were cute, yet functional. This might be more stuff than what you would typically pack, but I think this will be just right for 3 months 🙂
If you are traveling with expensive electronics, it is HIGHLY recommended to purchase travel insurance/health insurance. I purchased mine through Allianz Travel Insurance.
Make sure that your passport is up to date and that it doesn’t expire before you need to return.
Additionally- because most of the time I take my guitar with me when I fly, I prefer to fly Delta airlines. They allow me to carry on my guitar as if it were a “carry- on.” Delta allows you to have one carry on and one personal item with you on the plane. I make my back pack my personal item, and my guitar my carry- on. I have never had any issues. Some of the things on this list are specifically for musicians, but I added them anyways.
Prior to leaving, also make sure that you have contacted your bank and told them what countries you will be staying in so you can use your debit/credit card in Europe. Also contact your phone company to determine the best way of paying for international use of your phone.
